Hand in hand for eternity

Nurture to be Nurtured - duhhhh!!!!

The headline is a lesson more relevant to "Blogosphere" than life, but it really seems to spill over onto many situations in both. Okay I think I am going to cut the chase here and get to the point. It’s been a while I took my leave from Blogosphere – it’s been so long that I started wondering whether the agency actually had given me a one- way ticket. The feeling was gnawing and I started to fear my absence in that zone.

Some of the nagging doubts seemed too close to being real – “What if my friends forget me there?”, “What if followers are too used to seeing that lock on 'howabouthis'?”, “What if I was labeled a sporadic wannabe without any loyalty?” The doubts created a nice and thick blanket of insecurity around me and I was just too scared of shedding it and buying that return ticket!

And then one day his voice reverberated in my head, the voice of ‘Blogos’, God of the blogging world. Nurture to be Nurtured – he said. I saw a vague vision of him – his lips curled into a smile, his lashes blinked and exposed kind large eyes swimming with words and knowledge! Then there was light and the darkness went away.  and the dawn matured into a beautiful autumn day. I felt needed rather than needy. And what a feeling that was. Nurture to Nurtured – duh – but of course I knew that one!

So to my 117 followers I return today with an apology and a promise. It’s a promise to always be there when you come knocking; a promise to be ready for you just in case, even if you are not planning a visit; a promise to visit you even if life here in this world takes over for it is you who make my blogging world and it is you who can take it away.

Having said the above – here is a question. Is that being opportunistic in some level? Is that like a give and take? Is that saying I will not give if you don’t take or vice versa? Maybe not – because this is what Blogosphere is made of – a lifeline of support. There is nothing else that keeps us together and going. And after all if you need a plant to bloom into a flower you will have to make sure it survives.

I know not if this is a good return but it is one nonetheless and with this I have bought my ticket back. My door will be answered from this day onwards – I will eagerly wait to see you arriving.

  3. Welcome back into the fold.. and your absense is not a source to anguish over rather it is a breathing, a time of retrospection, a time...
It's all good here in the blogosphere and a return from you makes it a whole lot better.

  5. Wonderful reflection, Kriti! I, for one, am so happy to see you back and blogging.

We certainly do nurture and encourage each other here. I believe we meet each others needs along this journey called life. We inspire, we comfort, we sympathize, we care. What human being doesn't long for those basic things? :)

    Blessings always!

  7. WELCOME BACK...we knew that though no one was home at the moment, we were not far from their thoughts and this belief kept us going. Glad to have you back in person, we love you and missed you here on blogosphere, though I was constantly in touch with you :)

  8. Welcome home Kriti...very much missed, but not forgotten. Life sometimes steps in and we need to be there for our own spirit...when you have nurtured and filled your tanks...then you can begin to write again...contributing to the journey's of many...and receiving in return...we are family...and celebrate your homecoming my friend..Always

  9. It's lovely to see you back Kriti, everyone is entitled to take a little leave. The thing with the blogosphere is that when you start from the beginning you get out of it what you put into it. As you progress certain people will leave your side but there's a special few people that are true and those are the ones that mean the most and will always be there for you, doesn't matter if you take a break they will always be here x

@Sonia - Yes I am confident of that too. Give and you shall receive - though sometime that's the only reason why one should give right? Defeats the entire purpose then : )) Thanks a ton for coming by Sonia - love and hugs.

  13. Kriti I waited here for a very long time.... hint... hint! You never showed up....
Anyway do we not take vacations from everyday life? Thus taking a break from this world too is a must. Those who want to read you will always come back...

  17. Kriti, so loved this article! I often find that a break is way overdue and just have to step away from things...in life, in my blog, etc. It brings me back refreshed and ready to work even harder :)

  18. Kriti, our blogs are a bit like our children. If we are to be good bloggers (parents) we need to take a break now and then. Simple as that. Life has a way of running amok, and at times, we must run with it. Slow the pace but increase the thought. Keep writing no matter what. To a writers soul, it is salvation. Post when you can, your followers will always be here.Me too.

  23. Welcome back, Kriti! People who relate to what you have to offer will not forget you and if you need time away, that's healthy. For me, in order for blogging to be satisfying, I am well aware of the audience but my foremost motivation comes from what I am compelled to express, in my way and in my time. Worry no, we're listening! <3

  25. Hello.
I have recently had to take a leave of blogland to regroup, because I was feeling somewhat overwhelmed. I wasn't gone long...just a couple of days, but I needed the break & it made me feel better. If your readers & followers truly appreciate your blog, they will understand that you re not deserting them & will wait for your return. I think there's a lesson to be learned here.

    Very nice post & imagery.
Thanks for sharing. Thank you also for following my blog. I always try to return the kindness & am following you too.

  26. @Swati - thanks a ton darling!

@Sweepy - I am being told that a lot and I am loving it! The thing with me is I always have something to share and I feel like I am betraying my blog and my friends if I keep it to myself. Thanks a ton for all your support : )

@Haddok - thanks for your visit! Yes likeminded or not I just love being here. You get to read and feel fascinating stuff.

@Andy - Thank you for your kind comment Andy - much appreciate your visit too. It seems you know what I am talking about and am glad that's what you have to say. Absolutely love your writing too : )

  30. I can relate to your post with such credibility that it is almost like I'm speaking through you! Thank you for sharing this Kriti. I appreciate you and your creatively inspiring posts deeply. I have my moments of hibernation too and the "blanket of guilt" you're talking about is oh too thick and overbearing but then once its cast off then in your very words, the message "nurture to nurtured" comes but shining through thawing the ice that earlier froze me into oblivion. My words of assurance to you my dear friend, is that, I shall return no matter how long my earlier absence has been because, undoubtedly, creativity needs enlightened minds to find a source of nourishment :)xxx

  31. Welcome back..As you might know I also have been away for a while . I just came back and I shared your feeling of letting people down, would they care that I was gone? Did they even notice lol?? Life throws us curves and we need to adjust, I think people recognize that. I'm just glad to be back and really glad to have you back!!!!
